# Audit Log

> Organization Admins can view a log of account activity from organization settings.

An audit log tracks activity on your organization's account, available to Organization Admins from
organization settings.

## Who can see it

Access to the audit log is limited to Organization Admins.

## What's logged

Every action taken within the organization: logins and logouts, volunteer profile and volunteer list
views, study views and status changes, study sharing (inviting, accepting, or declining another
organization, and ownership transfers), and team member access changes and removals.

Each entry shows who took the action (or "Jaspari Studies" / "System" for actions not taken by a person on
your team), what the action was, details specific to that action, and when it happened in your own
time zone.

## Filtering

Entries can be filtered by activity type (login/logout, volunteer views, studies, team & roles), by a
specific person, and by date range.

## Downloading the log

From the Audit Log page, select **Download** to export the currently filtered log as a CSV file. This is
useful for sharing activity records with a sponsor or during a regulatory review.

## Volunteer data and the audit log

Entries about a volunteer are masked according to the viewing admin's own current data visibility
setting rather than the visibility of whoever performed the original action. This means an admin who has lowered
their own visibility cannot use the audit log to read back identifying details they've chosen not to see
elsewhere. See [Volunteer Data Visibility](/compliance/volunteer-data-visibility) for how that setting
works.
