# Payment Methods

> Add, remove, and set a default card. Card payments only; Jaspari never sees or stores your full card number.

Your organization can save one or more cards to pay invoices and fund your wallet. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe. Jaspari's servers only ever see the card's brand, last 4 digits, and expiration date, never the full number or CVC.

## Adding a card

From Settings > Billing > Payment methods, select **Add a card**. This opens a secure Stripe form and saves the card to your organization. No charge is made when you add a card.

The first card your organization saves automatically becomes the default card used for automatic charges. Any card added after that does not change the default on its own; you must choose which card is the default explicitly.

## Setting a default card

If you have more than one card saved, you can set any of them as the default from the Payment methods page. The default card is the one used for automatic charges, including retries on failed payments.

## Removing a card

A card can be removed at any time, with two exceptions:

* **The only card on file can't be removed.** Since your organization needs at least one card on file, you'll need to add a replacement before removing your last one.
* **The current default card cannot be removed directly.** Set a different card as the default first. Once it's no longer the default, the old one can be removed normally.

## Who can manage payment methods

Adding, removing, and setting a default card are restricted to your organization's **Organization Admin** and **Billing Admin** roles. Other roles can't view or change payment methods.

  Jaspari cannot view your payment information, whether directly or indirectly. Your payment information is securely stored by Stripe, Inc., which uses PCI DSS Level 1 standards, the highest grade of payment data security standard in the credit card industry.
